Rohit and his business partner, Abhishake Sangwan, opened their first restaurant as a ‘solo’ venture – the hugely acclaimed Kutir in Chelsea – in 2018, and Manthan is one of their latest projects.
With its distinctive emphasis on sharing plates, cocktails, and mocktails – and its name meaning “to churn and reflect” – Manthan represents the perfect place in Mayfair to share in, and reflect on, you and your beloved’s love story.
And of course, our culinary delights are born out of an enduring love affair of their own – the one that Rohit has long had with the authenticity and diversity of home-cooked Indian food, going as far back as his childhood in Madya Pradesh.

From the markets of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh (where he grew up) to professional kitchens all over the world, Ghai has experienced myriad flavours and cookery techniques, all of which come together in his new Mayfair kitchen.
